FAQ
-
What services do you offer?
We offer specialized, evidence-based care for eating disorders through:
Individual therapy with licensed mental health clinicians
Nutrition counseling with registered dietitians
Medication management with psychiatric providers
All services are available via secure telehealth or in person, depending on location and provider availability. -
What is individual therapy like at your practice?
Individual therapy at our practice is a personalized, collaborative space to explore your relationship with food, body, emotions, and self. Our licensed therapists specialize in eating disorders and related concerns, including trauma, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and substance use.
In therapy, you can expect to:
Identify and work toward your personal recovery goals
Learn coping skills to manage distress, urges, and triggers
Explore the roots of unhelpful patterns and develop healthier ones
Address co-occurring mental health concerns
Build a more compassionate relationship with yourself
We use evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, EMDR, IPT, Harm Reduction Strategies and HAES-aligned care, tailoring your treatment to your values, needs, and stage of recovery. Whether you’re just starting or returning to therapy, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
-
What should I expect when meeting with a psychiatric provider?
Our psychiatric providers are experienced in working with individuals navigating eating disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and co-occurring concerns. During your first session, they will:
Review your medical and mental health history
Explore current symptoms and goals
Discuss whether medication may be helpful, and explain your options
Coordinate with your therapist and/or dietitian for integrated care
We take a collaborative, low-pressure approach—you are always in control of your treatment plan. If medication is not the right fit, your provider can still offer support and referrals as needed.
-
What is it like to work with a dietitian at your practice?
Our registered dietitians specialize in eating disorder recovery and disordered eating, using a non-diet, weight-inclusive, and trauma-informed approach. Sessions may include:
Nutritional assessment and individualized recommendations
Meal planning and structure support
Education on metabolism, hunger/fullness cues, and body image
Exposure work (e.g., challenging fear foods)
Coordination with your therapist and medical team
We’ll always meet you where you are and move at a pace that honors your readiness and lived experience. Whether you’re newly diagnosed or years into recovery, our dietitians are here to support a more peaceful relationship with food.
-
Do you only treat eating disorders?
While eating disorder treatment is our specialty, we also support individuals with related concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, and substance use. Many of our clients also seek care for general mental health or relationship with food and body image, even without a formal diagnosis.
-
Do you accept insurance?
Yes, we are in-network with most major commercial insurance plans. Coverage may vary depending on your specific provider and plan. We’re happy to verify your benefits and walk you through what to expect in terms of coverage and out-of-pocket costs.
-
What can I expect during the intake process?
After submitting your intake form, we’ll match you with a clinician who aligns with your needs. Your initial session will focus on understanding your goals, current concerns, and treatment history. For clients working with multiple providers (e.g., therapy + dietitian), we coordinate care to ensure a team-based approach.
-
Do you offer virtual appointments?
Yes! We are a telehealth only practice and do not offer in-person services. Our clinicians provide telehealth sessions via a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. This allows clients across the state to access consistent care from the comfort of home.
-
Can I work with just one provider, or do I need a full team?
Our team works collaboratively, but you are welcome to engage with just one provider (e.g., only therapy or only dietetics) based on your needs and preferences. If additional support would be beneficial, we’ll offer referrals within our team or to trusted community partners.
-
Do you offer services for teens or only adults?
We work with adolescents (typically age 13+) and adults, depending on provider availability and clinical appropriateness. Family-based treatment may be recommended for some teens with eating disorders.
-
Do you offer trainings, supervision, or internships?
Yes! We provide clinical supervision, host trainings and events, and offer practicum/internship opportunities for graduate students. Visit our Opportunities & Resources page to learn more.
